OVERSIZED APARTMENTS AND LIFESTYLE ATTRACT DOWNSIZERS
Jill and Harold Horsfall have recently settled into their new home at Vantage and are embracing the lifestyle that the parkland community has to offer.
The Horsfall’s spent 18 months looking at properties between Nerang and Hope Island in the hope of finding an apartment that met all their criteria. Vantage ticked all the boxes for the couple, who purchased an off the plan apartment in Scape, which was completed in July.
Jill says lifestyle and the proximity to essential services was a determining factor, with the Benowa Village shopping centre located right next door. The shopping centre includes a Coles’ supermarket, restaurants, cafes, specialty shops and a range of medical and dental services.
“It’s such a nice area and the fact that it is next to a shopping centre is so convenient,” she said.
“Harold is losing his sight and can no longer drive, so being able to stroll to the chemist, doctor, dentist and Coles really appealed to us. The proximity to public transport is another bonus.”
The couple purchased a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with a study on the second level and Jill says the quality and layout are second to none.
“We saw Vantage in the early stages of construction of Eve and Dusk and we kept on coming back – Vantage just stuck with us,” she said.
“Due to Harold’s sight, we needed a building with a lift and an apartment conducive to his requirements”.
“The layout of the apartment needed to be straight forward and functional with a lot of useable space and no hidden corners. It also needed to be well lit with adequate windows to allow as much natural light in as possible”.
“The view out to the mountains is marvelous and it is highly unlikely it will ever be built out – we feel very fortunate.”
Jill says the developers of Vantage, The Rayjon Group, have created a cohesive community, hosting regular social functions to bring current and future residents together.
“We have been to every function since we first registered our interest in Vantage” she said.
“It is great to be able to meet our new neighbours and to speak with the developers at these functions. When you see people in the lift you know who they are, and it feels like a real community.”
Jill says she found Rayjon to be extremely easy to communicate with and they were both forthright and transparent in their dealings which gave her and her husband the comfort to buy off the plan.
“When you are buying an off the plan apartment, you need to have a lot of faith that the dream conjured up in your head is actually going to come to fruition, and Rayjon have delivered 100 per cent” she said.
“All the facilities and local lifestyle amenities were completed up front, so we could see first-hand what we were buying in to. Now the gym is complete, I am so looking forward to taking advantage of the gym, and pool in the warmer months”.
